Each game must commence on time to prevent chaos on the grounds. If there is a late start the match must be shortened with each half remaining equal to ensure the following game is not delayed.
|
| Rules |
As some of you will be aware there has been great discussion and politicking by the ARU about the rules for this season. We are adopting the Pathway as described by the ARU but NOT the age groups. Our Pathway age groups can be seen above.
|
| Equipment |
It is compulsory to wear mouth guards.
No mouth guard = no play.
Headgear must have an IRB approved logo they are available for purchase from the canteen.
The jersey will be provided by the club and be available 30 minutes prior to each game. It must be returned at the end of each game. No player is to take a jersey home.
To be provided by the player:
Black rugby shorts, Hunters Hill socks, football boots and water bottle.
|
| The club will provide training balls and match balls. Team managers are responsible for looking after balls and jerseys.
|
Referees &
Touch Judges |
The home team is to provide the referee for the game. The team manager must ensure that each team from Under 8 up has a certified referee available.
From Under 10 up certified touch judges must be at each game.
Each team is to provide one. A team may have to forfeit their points if a certified touch judge is not provided.
Touch Judges Course: Tuesday May 7th at the Gordon Club
|
| Whether you agree or not the referees decision is final!
No discussions will be entered into regarding adjudication on the field. Clarification of a ruling may be sought at the end of the game in a strictly civil manner. This may only be done through the team manager or coach.
Spectators and parents must not take any action that will cause embarrassment to the players, to other spectators or the Club.
Any serious incident must be recorded on the result sheet by the Manager.
|
| Team Training |
Each team needs to train once a week. If your child is sick or unavailable please speak to your manager
Training time will be advised by the coach on orientation day.
Training will commence the week beginning 18th March
|
| Wet Weather |
"The Game is on unless you are rung and told it is not"
Please do not assume that because it is raining the game is off. Rugby is played every week unless the ground is closed or it is too dangerous to play. Your manager will arrange to notify you if the game is off prior to your arrival at the oval.
|
| Sharing the Play |
Sometimes there are more team members than there are players allowed on the field during the match. It is club policy, for the sake of fairness, that to the best of our ability, all team members share equal time on and off the field, there are no exceptions.
This means the coach and manger will have to arrange a rolling substitution list for each game.
